Hi,
I've installed MSS Professional Evaluation 2017 for Linux on clean CentOS 7.3.1611 powering by CPU Intel i7-6700k, but unfortunately sample_multi_transcode doesn't work. Also I run vainfo and sys_analyzer_linux.py diagnostic tool script, but both differ from expected results and contain some errors. I would appreciate your help and support.
Initially I've unpack SDK2017Production16.5.tar.gz, read getting started guide and made all prerequisite steps, then I run 'sudo ./install_sdk_CentOS.sh'. Unfortunately, setup was incomplete due to fact that my system already had installed newer versions of libdrm. Thus I edited shell script and added '--force' to rpm. This time I've got all stuff installed.
Here is my installation log:

I've no idea why libva.so doesn't load iHD_drv_video.so. I run it with strace, but there is tries to load iHD_drv_video.so at all.

Hi Timur,
The script you used is only validated on CentOS 7.2.1511, this is why that was failed.
You have to use the generic approach described in the following page:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/how-to-setup-media-server-studio-on-secondary-os-of-linux
The article only described the script in Ubuntu, you have to change to the CentOS command accordingly, for example, "apt-get"-->"yum", the other article shows the example of the command conversion:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/mss-centos-install-options
Hope this helps.
Mark.

Hi Mark,
I've re-installed CentOS 7.2.1511. Now your sample works fine. So, my problem is solved. Thank you!
What happen if after successful installation of MSS, my CentOS will be automatically upgraded to newer minor version. Should I re-install MSS again? Or minor release upgrade will not affect the operation of Intel HW codecs?
