Hello chugzillafx,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
Intel has determined elevated voltages can occur on K and non-K processors. The 0x129 microcode update may address elevated voltages on 13th and 14th-generation desktop processors. Intel continues validation to ensure that scenarios of instability reported to Intel regarding its Core 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors are addressed.
As a general best practice Intel recommends users adhere to Intel Default Settings on their desktop processors. Intel is not changing the tuning capabilities of existing K SKU processors. Users who desire to overclock or utilize higher power delivery settings than recommended can still do so at their own risk as overclocking may void the warranty or affect system health (learn more at www.intel.com/overclocking).
I highly recommend contacting your motherboard manufacturer support team to confirm your query, and to avoid any further technical and warranty issues (with the motherboard).
Best regards,
