Please answer the following:

·      Was it working before?

Also, in order to have more information about your system, please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.

Hi Jose B, thank you for your quick response.

Originally the OC with XTU AI Assist seemed to be fine , But if I ruin the stress tests in XTU the system crashes . Even with small OC changes.

When I run it without any OC the 14900KF seems fine.

The only software changes I made was downloading Windows 11 but I did that the day I installed the CPU

I have XMP enabled and my memory is running at 6800MT/s

In have attached the files you requested .

Regards,

Hello nquinlan

Thank you for your reply and the reports.

Please disable the XMP profile, and set up the memory frequency to the maximum supported by the Intel® Core™ i9-14900KF (5600 MT/s Memory Specifications). Let us know the outcome.

Best regards,

Jose B.

Hi Jose,

I disabled XMP and set the memory frequency to 5600 MT/s.

Ran AI Assist OC and ran the AVX2 stress test, the test failed the first attempt and a reattempt caused a computer crash.

I check my motherboards memory compatibility and my current memory isn't on it yet as they are very new.

Could this cause the problem ?

Regards

Neil.

Hello nquinlan

Thank you for following our recommendations.

Please follow this:

·       Make sure the BIOS is set to the default values.

·       Update Windows*. Select Start > Settings  > Windows Update.

·       Start the system in minimal configuration.  Minimal configuration: motherboard, processor, power supply unit, and one DRAM module at a time.

·       Check the power supply.

·       Check for memory issues:

o  Try different memory sticks.

o  Make sure the memory is seated well.

·       Try another motherboard if possible.

·       Try to get a fresh image of the operating system.

Best regards,

Hi Jose B.

I don't have a motherboard to swap out.

I tried all these steps otherwise and the AVX2 stress test either fails or crashes XTU or crashes the whole PC if any OC is applied .

I got one passing test with one DIMM installed but it failed 2 more consecutively .

I've run Prime95 and it failed and also caused XTU to crash .

Prime95 failed work #3

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected running 4K FFT size

IT appears that only the AVX2 test fails.
