I recently got an i5 2500k and a asrock p67 extreme4 motherboard. The problem is the asrock extreme tuning utility and cpuz both shows it is running at 3.7 ghz constantly. I'm using the default settings in bios, except cpu fans speed. Is it normal for it run at max turbo frequency all the time?

Make sure that the motherboard fully supports that particular processor, and install all the available updates for your operating system.
Also install the latest BIOS version available for your motherboard, and you can enable the Enhance Intel SpeedStep(R) Technology, this feature will reduce the speed of the processor when it is not needed and increase it only when it is needed.
