Hi.
I am looking to upgrade my rig but am a bit unsure about my current mobo paired with i7-7700K and GTX 1080.My current CPU is i5-7500.
I also want to upgrade my GTX 1060,6GB to a 1080.
I'm running M.2/SATA SSD's,550w PSU and Win 10 pro.
I would appreciate all input!
Thanks in advance.

Hello ddmeltzer8
Thank you for your joining this community.
I understand that you are looking to upgrade your CPU from Intel® Core™ i5-7500 Processor to Intel® Core™ i7-7700K in your B250 Chipset.
The Core™ i7-7700K CPU will be compatible with the following list of B250 Chipset motherboards:
http://processormatch.intel.com/MotherBoards/CompatibleBoards?componentName=i7-7700K http://processormatch.intel.com/MotherBoards/CompatibleBoards?componentName=i7-7700K
On the link above you can filter the search by chipset, so you just need to select "B250" in order to display a list of 16 motherboards that will be fully compatible with the CPU that you are looking to upgrade.
Since we do not have the specifications of your motherboard, please bear in mind the following requirements when installing a discrete video card under "Expansion Options" on the following link:
https://ark.intel.com/products/98086/Intel-B250-Chipset https://ark.intel.com/products/98086/Intel-B250-Chipset
If you already have a motherboard with a B250 Chipset, you just need to search the motherboard's manufacturer website, type the motherboard's model and then look for the CPU compatibility list displayed on their page.
As well, the graphic card manufacturer should have a list of compatible boards, so please make sure that all the 3 components will be compatible.
I hope this helps.
Best regards.
Diego S.

The only area of concern I might have is with the sizeof the power supply. You may need to move to a bigger supply as you go to a GTX 1080 solution, especially if you have additional memory in this solution.
Hope this helps,
