I recently purchased a I7-975 processor second hand, only to find out it was bad. While that is a risk you take, I have since been told the guy I bought it from was selling equipment that had already been tested bad and replaced under warranty from a local ASUS repair facility. Is there any way to determine if the chip I purchased had already been through an Intel warranty case? This would indicate to me that the guy KNEW he was selling a defectiver processor and it was all just a scam. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a pic with the chip's information.
Thanks,
James

The only way that we can determine that is if you can provide the full name, email address or phone number of the person that contacted us, and this is assuming that he provided his/her real personal information.
