Hello Brantom:

Thank you very much for joining the Intel processor communities.

In order to answer your question, I looked for the system requirements for the software, the version I found was DaVinci Resolve 12.5:

https://www.dcinema.me/davinci-resolve-system-requirements-a-reality-check/ https://www.dcinema.me/davinci-resolve-system-requirements-a-reality-check/

In there you will find that it says:

"Your GPU is everything! It is more important than your CPU or system RAM (both of which should not be skimped on either).

This should be a dedicated GPU just for image processing in addition to the graphics card running your desktop GUI (user interface). In the case that you are using a laptop or any system with a single, or integrated GPU you can still run Resolve, but performance will be compromised compared to a dual or multi-GPU system"

Based on that information, I just wanted to let you know that the Intel® E3-1270 v5 processor does not have integrated graphics controller as you can confirm here:

http://ark.intel.com/products/88174/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1270-v5-8M-Cache-3_60-GHz http://ark.intel.com/products/88174/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1270-v5-8M-Cache-3_60-GHz

So, that means that if you plan to use it you will need to purchase a video card.

Remember that Intel does not manufactured video cards, so in order to confirm if the video card will be fully compatible with that software you just need to check the specifications with the manufacturer of it.

Based on previous cases, we had reports from different peers stating that the Nvidia graphics cards are really good, but that is just an option since there are many different brands for a video card:

Any further questions, please let me know.
