Does the I7-9700 Coffee Lake still has crystal beach DMA?  It does not show up in Linux with my Nuvo box.

Here are some answers to your questions:

1.      Could you please furnish us with more comprehensive details regarding your situation?

When I do an lspci in a NUVO  8108gc  with a  I7-9700 Coffee Lake  CPU.   The Crystal Beach DMA is not listed.

Is also not listed here:

lab@neousys-Nuvo-8108GC-Series:~$ ls /sys/class/dma/
lab@neousys-Nuvo-8108GC-Series:~$

It should be:

lab@tower:~$ ls /sys/class/dma/
dma0chan0 dma1chan0 dma2chan0 dma3chan0 dma4chan0 dma5chan0 dma6chan0 dma7chan0
lab@tower:~$

2.      What specific task or objective are you aiming to achieve with your CPU?

Memory to PCIe DMA transfers.

3.      Are you an end-user seeking assistance, or an OEM involved in development work?

Hello @Luis-SJ

Thank you for your patience.

According to our research, From the product webpage:

https://www.onlogic.com/nuvo-8108gc/

https://www.neousys-tech.com/en/product/product-lines/edge-ai-gpu-computing/nuvo-8108gc-intel-9th-gen-nvidia-rtx-2080-250w-gpu-computing-platform

The hardware configuration doesn't include the i7-9700 processor; instead, it features the i7-9700E, an embedded processor platform. Furthermore, the NUVO 8108gc is specifically designed as an AI and embedded platform.

For support related to IPS, we recommend reaching out to your dedicated Field Application Engineer (FAE) if available. FAEs are well-equipped to assist the OEM and embedded processor community. If you don't have a designated FAE, please let us know, and we can assist you in finding the appropriate support channel.

Finally, our specialized team consulted with one of our CBDMA experts, who confirmed that if there is no DMA listed in the device, so it is not supported.
