CPU trends (70s till today)

I'd like to know about number of transistors, clock speeds, power usage and performance per clock for old Intel CPUs as well as current ones. Can anyone provide me with some data or a link where I can find more information?

My aim is to reproduce and update the plot shown in http://www.gotw.ca/publications/concurrency-ddj.htm The Free Lunch Is Over: A Fundamental Turn Toward Concurrency in Software (Fig.1).

Thanks for your reply. The first link is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately it does not contain the latest CPU generations (there is only data till 2009). Do you know where I can find a table like this for 2009 till today?
