Can I do an upgrade?

I have a Gateway Tower GP6-400 and it currently has an

Intel Pentium III processor in it. I NEED to upgrade because

it is SOOOOO slow.

My system has 795 MHz and 382 MB RAM and I believe

it is at capacity.

1. Does anyone know if it is even possible to upgrade to a faster processor?

2. If so, what would you suggest for the model to use?

This processor is too old, and no longer manufacturing since many years ago.

I would suggest buying a new system, since none of the current processors available on the market will work on that particular computer.
