Hi PaperthinJr,
I would need more details of your processor and issue before giving to you an answer.
The picture is just given the Processor and Cores base frequency of 3300GHz and the maximum with Turbo Boost 3600MHz.
If you are using Windows 7, uninstall and delete the current Intel Extreme Tuning Utility application then, reinstall the latest version of it available in the link below.

My issue is in the picture. The 4th core shows a multiplier of 4 x instead of 36 x in the first picture when the second picture shows you what it "should" be. To be more specific for my problem, why would it do this? If the type of processor matters, it's an i7-5820k. Why would XTU display a frequency of 4 x instead of the real 36 x. I did reinstall XTU and the issue still exists. Is there another software I can use to check the multiplier? I did use the Intel Processor Diagnostic software and it came out Pass as everything. Just here, the Default shows properly but the Proposed shows the 4.
I am just cautious cause as I stated this is an RMA and would be my 2nd issue.

Hi PaperthinJr,
The i7-5820k has 6 Cores working at 3.3 GHz and with Turbo Boost some of its Cores reach 3.6GHz and others can reach 3.4GHz. Please review the picture below:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005523.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005523.html
I suggest you this workaround. Verify is you are using the latest BIOS and latest Chipset and Management Engine drivers of the board. Then, go to BIOS double check the Processor Base Frequency of the processor. It should be 3.3 GHz.
Safe changes in BIOS, go to Windows, verify if there are newer updates available for the OS, restart the computer and run our Extreme Tunning Utility tool.

I don't believe you are understanding my question. I'm asking why would the XTU software show 1 of my cores running at an incorrect multiplier. There's no shame in saying you don't know. Assume I'm an IT professional and have run every possible thing I know to figure this out, because I am and I have. I stated in the beginning that I see this issue nowhere else but in the XTU software. Also, that this is a replacement which the processor before this one did not display this issue, but had a memory controlling issue. This is the first time I have seen this particular issue, EVER, in XTU. The BIOS and ME are up to date. The only thing different is a new 10 series nVidia card. I will be receiving a new SSD here in the next couple of days and I'll be redoing my Windows installation that hopefully will make this disappear. I'm thinking about re-seating my CPU possibly I just wanted someone who may have seen this issue before to give me advice as to what it may be, but thanks for your assistance.

Hi PaperthinJr,
I am following up on your case. Let me know if you are still getting the same results at XTU, using it with default settings.
