Core 2 duo @ 2.6GHZ or a Core 2 Quad @ 2.4GHZ for gaming?

Hi guys, I am wondering what processor to use in my gaming pc. I have got a Core 2 Duo @ 2.6GHZ and a Core 2 Quad @ 2.4 GHZ. I am not sure which one to use. Do I go with the faster one or the slightly slower one that is more powerful? Please don't tell me to buy another one because I haven't got the money at the moment.

A Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad processor should perform better of the game has been optimized to run in this type of platforms. In this case, what you should do would be to check with the game developer to see what they would suggest as part of their system requirements
