Core I9-13900K performance issue

Hello,

 

I have a Core I9-13900K processor and I'm updating the BIOS everytime there is a new version, but I'm still having massive performance issue while using the PC, games are slow/buggy and keeps crashing.

 

Honestly it's very annoying, is there anything that I can do to resolve the issue?

Make sure you have all the latest driver updates as well - particularly chipset, intel management engine driver and firmware, and io drivers.

The other thing to check in the BIOS is that the Intel Default Settings are being applied. And power limits - for the 13900K short term pl should be 253w and long term pl 125w. Some motherboard manufacturers set both to 253w - this can lead to instability and overheating. Also there will be a BIOS setting for IccMax which should be 307A - this may appear as maximum CPU current or a similar description.

Finally check your CPU with the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool that can be downloaded from here . Be aware that this will stress your processor from the outset. Having run all the tests it will give a PASS/FAIL result.

• What is the exact model of your motherboard and its BIOS version?

• Aside from updating the BIOS, what other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

• Is there any sign of physical damage on the processor?

• What is the make and part number of your RAM?

• Has the processor been overclocked? (Please note that if the system has been operated beyond Intel’s supported voltage or frequency specifications, the warranty may be void.)

• When did the issue first start occurring?

• Could you please confirm when the processor was purchased? If it was purchased within the last 30 days, Intel recommends contacting your retailer for warranty assistance.

Once I have this information, I’ll be able to provide you with the next troubleshooting steps and help isolate the root cause of the issue.

• Aside from updating the BIOS, what other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? updated all the drivers from the device manager and did the steps suggested by pressed_for_time

Thank you for providing the requested information. It helps me better understand your system.

 

Upon checking, it appears that the BIOS version F14 installed on your system is outdated. I highly recommend updating it to the latest version, F15, to help isolate the issue.

 

If the issue persists after the update, please let me know so we can proceed with the next troubleshooting steps.

 

Additionally, if possible, could you test your system with a different compatible processor for swap testing? If this is not possible, that’s perfectly fine.
