I have 2 NVMe drives, 512GB each, that I want to turn into a raid volume of 1 TB. I easily created the volume in my bios (Asus TUF Gaming D4 Wifi) by enabling VMD. I run a 13900K processor at stock speeds.
I downloaded what I thought is the correct IRST setup software (version 19.5.0.13) and installed fine it and rebooted my PC as requested.
But I can't find the installed program at all. It never shows up as an installed program in Windows 10's "Add or Remove" section. I also used IO Bit's installer/uninstaller program which does the same thing and IRST never shows up as one of the programs that was installed.
Why does the IRST program go through the installation successfully but never shows up as a program to run in Win 10?
Thanks!

Ok, I rebooted my PC as a last resort and it now works just fine. Thank you.
So, what's the difference between the console software and the IRST software I linked to earlier? Thanks!

Hello, @SmartOne_2000.
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
I am sorry to hear what is happening with your Intel® RST tool, I will gladly assist you here.
Have you installed the Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management console already?
Best regards,

No, I didn't I thought I would just go straight to your website to download the latest IRST drivers for 13th gen processors. Now, when I download the console through the Microsoft Store, I get the following error below:
I've just reinstalled the latest driver from here., version 19.5.2.1049.5 successfully, and still get the error above. Which version is it talking about?

Hello, @SmartOne_2000.
Thank you for the information provided.
The Intel® RST drivers are made for RST technology to work on the computer but you need the Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management console to manage and control it, RAIDs for example. That's why you couldn't see any program runnable before.
This is also specified in the notes of the Intel® RST drivers too.

Thank you for your answer ... now I have another set of NMVe drives, 2TB each this time. One is my main drive with OS and apps. The other is new and empty. Can I raid them without losing data from my OS drive?
