I bought a couple of Quad E5450 (80 Watt) from Ebay. I have been using Intel D5400XS (skulltrail) mainboard with dual E5420's till now. Anyway, but dealer sent me a couple of X5450 (120 watt) cpus. In the mobo compatibility list, there is no X5450. So, should i try install them or should not?
If this processor is not listed as supported by the motherboard, then I would not recommend installing it, since it can damage the motherboard or processor.
The processor most be listed as supported in order to install it on a particular motherboard.
