I'm encountering an issue with a 165H-based project that communicates with an EC (IT5571) via eSPI. The problem occurs when the CMOS battery is connected, and the system is power-cycled. LOG capture shows: Device ID 22 power state error, expect state =3 , cur_state = 0. I have verified that all platform timing requirements in the EDS (External Design Specification) are met and EC issues have been ruled out. Hope to get some help !

Hi Seavo_RD,
Thank you for posting in the communities!
Thank you for sharing the detailed information regarding your 165H-based project and the observed Device ID 22 power state error during CMOS battery-connected power cycles. We appreciate the thorough troubleshooting you've already performed, including validation against the EDS timing requirements and ruling out EC-related concerns.
I’ll be checking on this internally to better understand the issue.
Rest assured, I’ll provide you with an update as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience and collaboration as we work toward a resolution.
Best regards,
