Easy Anti-Cheat Issues with Intel Ultra 9 285K

I recently upgraded from an i7 12700K to an Ultra 9 285K.  Since upgrading, no game that uses the Easy Anti-Cheat software will run (Fortnite and Rust specifically).  When launching these games the initial startup screen shows then after a few seconds the entire PC will become unresponsive and freeze.  No keyboard, mouse, or other inputs work and the computer has to be manually powered off.  There was no issue running these games on the 12700k.

To troubleshoot I have updated the bios of my Gigabyte Aorus Z890 motherboard, downloaded the most up to date NVidia graphics drivers, and even loaded a clean copy of Windows 10 Pro on a new hard drive.  Uninstalling/reinstalling or repairing EAC or the games themselves does not resolve the issue.  SSU log is attached for additional info.

I understand you have your reasons for using Windows 10 Pro. Unfortunately, you will have to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 for it to work properly. In addition, you must have all the latest Windows updates after upgrading as well.

This is a known issue that should be fixed with 24H2. I have researched this and people using this method have gotten it to work, so if it works for some, then the only other possibilities are going to be other software or driver conflicts. This has to do with the architectural changes of Arrow Lake.

It is possible if you wait, EAC may release an update that works on some or all versions of Windows supported in the future.

Thank you, I was considering upgrading but didn't want to make the troubleshooting any more complicated. Have a good day.
