First build mistake...

I misunderstood the diagrams for the heat sink installation for the i7-860 2.8 on a DP55KG Extreme,

(using the sink/fan combo that comes stock), and it tilted quite a bit, so it's lock down was not smooth, to say the least.

Realizing I made a mistake when I saw a thread, I found a video on this website confirming my error. Have not powered on yet as it seems I may need to correct the installion error first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have to say you kinda lost me there. If you wanna post a picture or two, it would help. Otherwise i would reinstall it by following the instructions in the video

I went ahead and re-installed the heat sink/fan and powered up for first time, no warning bells nor error messages, system temp in bios held at max of 45 c after 45 minutes of no load running. Have to wait til Oct 22 for copy of Win7 to see how it bears up with real use. Sorry if my posts request was unclear, sometimes when one is new to something, how to express the problem clearly is difficult. thanks. 1newbie
