How to remove heatsink pin?

I have an Intel LGA775 heatsink, which comes with the push-pins. One of them is broken and I want to remove it from the heatsink.

Can someone tell me how to remove the push-pin from the heatsink? I will replace it with another. Should I cut it and remove?

A video would be great.
