I have a user interface pc running on Intel atom N270 1.6 GHz processor with windows XP. I have replaced the processor with Intel atom N455 1.66 GHz and all i get is a white screen, it does not boot up to BIOS page. Any help will be appreciated.

According to the information you provide, this processor Intel® Atom™ Processor N455, Has a different socket to the http://ark.intel.com/products/36331/Intel-Atom-Processor-N270-512K-Cache-1_60-GHz-533-MHz-FSB Intel® Atom™ Processor N270 you used to have; you can check this information on this link: http://ark.intel.com/compare/36331,49491 http://ark.intel.com/compare/36331,49491.

 

 

Also, it's important to mention, every manufacturer sets on the BIOS which processors are compatibles with their motherboards.
