Hi,
I have recently got an i9-14900K installed with an Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler. I notice whenever open a program the fans spike to max in speed with the CPU Temp (Around 65c).
I looked at performance monitors and task managers and the CPU usage is always under 20%. The question is should i modify my fan profile to only max speed at a specific threshold? Ex, at 65C its only at 50% fan speed but when it jumps around 80C it then goes to 100% fan speed. Or is this an issue with the cpu cooler not being powerful enough to dissipate the heat?
Thanks,

Hi Nick34,
Thank you for posting in the communities!
Checking on your concern, it seems like your CPU fan is set to its default setting which will reach this much fan speeds depending on the heat of the CPU.
A cooler with a cooling capability of at least 320W is advised because the Core i9-14900K's CPU package power can surpass 320W during demanding tasks.
But it is best if you try to contact the OEM of the CPU Cooler for more information regarding the compatibility of your CPU fan to this Intel Core i9-14900K CPU.
