Intel Anti-Theft Service and Windows 8

I also posted this in the general discussion forum as I was uncertain where this should go.

I've upgraded to Windows 8 and my Intel Anti Theft service is having problems communicating/syncing with the Intel servers. When I called intel support they said the current version isn't supported in Windows 8. When will the new version, 2.0, be released for Win 8 support. How will I know when it's released?
