Normal cpu is useful and will last 10 years if you think processors arent faulty why arent you extending warranty to 10 years .
What if cpus fail after 5 years with knows production defect and stability issue?
Normal warranties for CPUs are three years for boxed processors and one year for OEM/Tray. Intel has extended all warranties for Raptor Lake processors by two years. Like any electronics product if you want to use it beyond the warranty period that is your choice. Talking about 10 year warranties is completely unrealistic.

You are correct, but haven't provided a complete answer. While it it true that an entity can purchase warranted tray processors from Intel, individuals purchasing tray processors in the gray markets receive no warranty. Processors are only warranted for the original purchaser. Individuals purchasing tray processors in the gray market are secondary owners and thus have no warranty.
Bottom line, buyer beware. You are getting a deal, but at the expense of a warranty.

Intel knew about the instability and oxidation but didnt make it public and knowingly sold it. What they did is beyond realistic.
And a warranty is as solid as company trust and right know intel does not have any.
Intel has refused warranty on unstable 13-14th gen cpus before this was public but they knew about it. They need to do more to gain trust.
13th Gen Raptor Lake chips went end of life March 2024 and was refreshed by 14th Gen. Something is up with these Raptor Lake CPU's, why end production of 13 gen and replace with 14th Gen. I get that 13h Gen is almost identical but axing production and only producing 14 Gen just adds to my suspicions that something is wrong with these proccessors.
They say only select 13th Gen CPUs are end-of-life'd. Its best if you post pages 2 and 3 to see which 13th gen are discontinued.
It is all 13th Gen or at least all of the ones that I know about.
I have added the PDF file showing all the pages and on page two it has the table of them all.
I think that RMA should be replaceing 13th gen with 14th Gen if they have axed them. Something is not right with the 13th gen otherwise why end of life ? The 12th Gen is not even end of life.
I get 13th Gen and 14th gen are almost the same and it could just be easier to make just 14th Gen but I am suspicious considering these chips are reported to have lots of issues and who knows Intel might have found a fault that cant be fixed on 13th Gen but are not going to say anything just end of life them and make 14th Gen. But that is my suspicious mindset.
Intel is offering a two-year extended warranty for 13th and 14th Gen boxed desktop processors due to reported stability issues. If you're affected, Intel recommends contacting your system manufacturer if you bought through an OEM or reaching out to Intel Customer Support if you purchased a boxed CPU.
