Hello,
I have a Intel Core Ultra 7 265K. It idles at about 45c. At 10% utilisation, the temperature is around 50c. However, when the load is increased to 15%, the cpu heats up rapidly to 105c within 10 seconds. It will stay at 105c for about 20 seconds before cooling down very quickly. The same behaviour is also seen when stress testing the cpu. I have tried to reduce the short term power limit from the default of 250W to 100W but that did not help.
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Frozen Prism 240
Motherboard: PRO B860M-A WIFI (MS-7E42)

The standard configuration for the Thermalright Frozen Prism 240 All-In-One cooler is to connect the radiator fans to the hub and then connect the hub to the motherboard CPU fan socket. The pump should be connected to the motherboard PUMP_SYS1 header.
The issue could be whether PUMP_SYS1 is running the pump at the correct speed. For an AIO I would recommend running the pump at full speed at all times, this should be around 3,300 rpm. Does your temperature measuring software record pump speeds and if so what is it showing?

Thank you very much for the support. The issue was caused by both the aio pump and the fans being connected to the same CPU_FAN1 header and the pump was not connected to the PUMP_SYS1 header, resulting in the pump not running at full speed.
