Intel I7 13700k died after 3 months with default settings

Using Windows 11 on the default CPU settings. At the began, crashes repeated one or two time on week. Last three days crashes was frequently every 3 - 10 minutes. Passed CrystalDiskInfo test and Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool without any errors. Temperature stays at 39 - 43 celsium degrees. Today CPU is finally died. Can change BIOS settings, but can't boot Windows 11, Ubuntu 23. Dead freezing on loading screen. Changed GPU, not works. Can't pass memtest86.

Using Deepcool LS520. Changed RAM sticks from KingBank 64 Gb to ADATA 32 Gb, Motherboard from ASUS ROG B660-G to MSI MAG Z-790 WIFI, switched xmp modes and the same problem still occurred.

Changed 13700k to 12400f with all combinations, no any sign of problem. Сonclusion: the unspecified transistors on the 13700k unspecified core is dead. Still I have any recommendations for diagnostics and chance to repair CPU?

Stop editing the post and submit a warranty request.

Don't know how, seller is in another country and it is OEM. No any way to fix by hands?

What is there to fix?   The answer is that there is no warranty.  You are out of luck.

I found the solution. Disabling core_3 will supress crashes on the system load:

Test passed:

Also works stable with hyper-threading:

Enabling core_3 certainly triggers crash on system load or memtest86

@Acid7Beast  Thank you for updating what you did to solve your issue, it worked for me as a last resort after days of constant freezing and being unable to use my pc. Thought I'd make an account just to post here a year later and show my gratitude for posting your findings.

@AlHill as a "super user" who seems to be on this forum regularly to this day you had nothing more to input? Yikes

@Shock94 ,

You can check guide from Ooodle that helped me for 6 months. It's not a stable fix, but worked for me about 3 months.

Thanks for the info, did you keep core 3 disabled as you tried the guide method? So disabling core 3 only fixed it for 3 months for you?

No, I enabled it. Following guide I raised voltage, but it feels like connection continue degrading with time and currently I using my PC with disabled core 3 again. Just try this guide, maybe it helps for long time. But keep in mind, when you use an IDE/Text Editor and got CPU freeze you can loss work you made.
