Intel I7-14700KF high temperatures under load

Hello folks,

im having some temperature issues since the moment I bought i7-14700KF, firstly I thought that my water cooling was not strong enough for this cpu ( ROG RYUO III 240 ARGB ), but then I saw a few news about problems with 13th and 14th gen of intel CPU's but still didn't want to try to RMA or something before I try everything else. I tried bios updates, microcode (through bios update ), and different settings on my MB but nothing helped before I lowered CPU max power to 200w instead of 253w, and to lover CPU LCC in bios which highly impacted the performance of PC but it is what it is.

My MB is Asus ROG Strix Z790-F

At that moment i didn't have the budget to renew my Casse and Liquid cooler, but a few months ago I bought next components:

- HAF 700  ( big tower ) case and I bought ARCTIC LIQUID FREEZER III 420

So now I can work on normal 253w ( my cpu doesn't have 40% of throttle like before ) but I still have temp spikes, and cpu throttling under high load, this is on normal mod, no overclock, and even though I tried with XMP and without XMP profile, still have the same temp. results. And have to mention that I had to set my liquid cooler to max performance all time to have these temps.

I'm sending screenshots of HW info from different days on high load ( gaming )

I'm not sure is this normal or what to do next.

Thank you in advance for advice.

Best regards!

Hello Sarajlija,

Thank you for your contribution to the community. Based on the images you provided, it appears that the current temperature of your processor under load is within normal parameters. The maximum temperature values shown are the limits your processor can reach. However, please note that these results are from a third-party application, and I cannot guarantee their accuracy.

To ensure precise temperature readings, I recommend using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU). This tool is specifically designed for Intel processors and will provide you with accurate temperature measurements.
