I am using a Lenovo T14s ThinkPad and I have received notifications that the Intel Management Engine Firmware is in need of a update. I have tried numerous of times to update this but each time it fails. I have tried both automatic and manual update with no success. This is listed as a critical update. I recently updated the BIOS and I was hoping that would correct the issue. Please help!

I have attached the system report.

Thank you,

I have Lenovo X360 Yoga 20NQS I also failed same firmware update I talked with OEM they told me it's a bug inside the firmware update so that it always failed to install they also told me wait for few weeks so after that a new firmware will release. #firmware #failed #lenovo #intel #microsoft I Hope intel or Lenovo will take this seriously and release a new firmware as soon as possible.

I tried Lenovo Vantage, Direct Download firmware file from OEM Site, use Intel Driver & support Assistance but all methods are not working. after rebooting system start normally .

I'm having the exact same problem.  Even my IT guy tried and couldn't get it to install.  He backpedaled and said he installed a newer version, but there isn't a newer version.  Did you ever get a fix for this?

You need to talk to the motherboard manufacturer, not Intel, about this issue. They are responsible for all firmware being installed onto their motherboard.

I read the readme file for each version of the Intel Management Engine firmware listed in this thread, and none of the laptop models posted are on the compatibility list.

You can try updating Windows to the latest feature update supported by your laptop and try again.

I can only repeat the advice already given by @n_scott_pearson that you need to raise this with Lenovo, its Technical Support department may be able to help. As an alternative there is the Lenovo Support Community that can be found here where you can ask a question.
