Hello all,
We are tightening down security and minimizing system resource usage on a B250-based machine running Windows Enterprise.
The machine was setup as a clean install using Intel drivers, downloaded straight from Intel.
There is a scheduled task named Intel PTT EK Recertification, which when triggered will execute IntelPTTEKRecertification.exe which based on the filepath looks like it's related to an Intel iCLS client.
As seen in the screenshots the triggers are those 2 event IDs related to TPM, which are defined as follows according to my research :
- Event ID 1025 : "The TPM was successfully provisioned and is now ready for use."
- Event ID 1026 : "The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware on this computer cannot be provisioned for use automatically. To set up the TPM interactively use the TPM management console (Start->tpm.msc) and use the action to make the TPM ready."
Question : what does IntelPTTEKRecertification.exe do exactly, when triggered ?

Hello mach128x,
Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.
Kindly share the information below to address this properly.
1. What security framework or standards are you implementing
2. What are the specific resource limitations you're trying to address (CPU, memory, network bandwidth)?
3. How many systems will this configuration be applied to?
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
I look forward to your response.
Best regards

Hello Jed,
I guess the question was not specific to this particular machine. I would assume that any B250 machine running the Intel-provided INF and drivers on Windows 11 would have the same scheduled tasks which would have been created by the Intel-provided installer.
The machine will be offline and running real-time data processing. The baseline setup will be very minimalist in terms of background services and scheduled tasks, we're basically minimizing all impediments that could affect processing latency.

Hello mach128x,
Thank you for clarifying the details. To help us proceed with a thorough investigation, we kindly request that you share the System Support Utility (SSU) logs. These logs will provide us with essential system information, allowing us to analyze the situation accurately and offer the most effective resolution.
I look forward to your response.
Best regards
