Hi, today I updated to version 7.8.0.21 but after installation without any problem, I launch XTU and I have an error message: see attached screenshot.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling XTU but still the same problem.
My specs: Windows 10 21h2 up to date
Core I7 12700KF
MB: Asus maximus Z690 hero, bios up to date
2x16Gb Corsair Vengeance 5200Mhz
Asus Rogue 3080Ti - 12G OC
2 SSD samsung 970 evo plus 1T
I am looking for a safe place to download and revert to the old XTU version which was stable on my pc, any idea?

Ok, I just realized it's not the same version anymore, it was updated on the Intel website, now latest is 7.8.1.20 and the version that gave me problems at the beginning of the topic was version 7.8.0.21.
so Intel made an update.

Hello Rib, You are very welcome, I just received an update on this matter.
For this scenario, it is important to mention that the computer may have old drivers being left behind on the system. Try open command prompt and type ”pnputil /enum-drivers” after uninstalling Intel® XTU and check to see if any drivers have a name with XTU in their list. If that’s the case, you will need to manually delete the old drivers otherwise the new version of XTU won’t work properly.
Another step, this is optional, that we can take, it is a risky action for someone inexperienced and cannot be reverted easily if the wrong driver is deleted: Delete drivers via “pnputil /delete-driver oemxx.inf /force” replacing xx with the number of the XTU driver that was found in the previous pnputil step. Again, it is critical to stress that you will need to be very careful to only delete the XTU driver and no other drivers on your system. Once this is completed try to install the new Intel® XTU version
If no XTU drivers are found on OS, the safest method is the clean installation of the Operating System and then try to install the Intel® XTU again.

Hi again Alberto,
So, my curiosity was stronger, I updated over the old version 7.7.0.12, and this time everything works.
As you can see from the attachments, this time the XTUOCDriverService is working fine, so I'm with the latest version 7.8.1.20, computer mysteries or a windows update has it solved this problem...
In any case, thank you for your contribution.
The topic can be put on resolved.
Regards.
