Hello all,
I have upgraded my PC last year (2024) in around middle of september.
I got the i9 14900k and around a couple days ago the CPU started to overheat when i was doing simple task, such as opening a browser the temperature will spike to around 60+ degrees celsius which it was never like that as the temperature when idleing or doing easier tasks will never reach 35 degrees. The rig is running the i9 14900k 64gb of Ram and RTX 4080 Super as GPU, the case is the LIAN LI O11 Dynamic XL, the airflow in the system is the best I could make it watching videos on youtube for the best airflow to reduce any heat building up in the system. So going back to the issue with the CPU, I have changed the AIO pump as well because at first I thought that it might be the pump that has stopped working, bare in mind that the gpu doesn't overheat at all and is constantly below 45 degrees when I am playing games. I ran the intel diagnostic tool for the cpu which it did pass all the tests there, but it did took longer than usual as I had done that test before and the temperature on the aio pump display was showing 80-100 degrees constantly when running the test, same thing when I start up my pc the CPU has some spikes in the temperature where it reaches 60 degrees and 100 on start up which it never did until a few days ago. As far as I am aware and been told the 14th gen of I9 tend to have some issues regarding voltage and temperature, I would like to know if I can have some support regarding this issue or take the CPU to the warranty and get it replaced or something. And another thing before I will be asked about it, no the CPU is not overclocked at all all the settings are the default ones from the moment the pc was built and windows installed.

Hi n0_g0d,
Thank you for posting in the communities!
I was able to review your post regarding the CPU degree spikes your experiencing on your system.
Upon researching, you can try updating your BIOS version to the latest Microcode from your motherboard website.

You can also try setting this BIOS settings on your system to eliminate any voltage issues.
