Recently got a Core i5-11400 processor, and looking at its specs in Ark, I noticed it has some features related to Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning...

One of them is the GNA - Gaussian & Neural Accelerator.

Is this Intel's Neural Processing Unit?

Hello Phlox,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I understand that you have some inquiries about your Intel® Core™ i5-11400 Processor.

Based on the information that we have, the Intel® Gaussian Mixture Model is a component of the Intel Neural Network Accelerator (GNA). This is an artificial intelligence (AI) co-processor inside the actual processor die.

For more information, you can check the following article.

You will need to check with the laptop or motherboard manufacturer for drivers and instructions.
