Is it possible to mount 4 GB of central memory on a Atom™ x5-Z8350?

Many important producers do it even though data sheet tells that max memory size is 2 GB.

Some examples are

ASUS Transformer Mini T102HA ASUS Transformer Mini T101HA HP Pavilion x2 10-p007nl Notebook 2 in 1 Lenovo IdeaPad Miix 310-10ICR

All of these notebook has a z8350 and 4 GB of memory.

Thank you.

Hello @Andrea_Baraldi,

This will be dependent on memory type used in the device. Depending on the manufacturer selection for the memory, they will choose what type of memory they include in their products. From my end, here; http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/atom/atom-z8000-datasheet-vol-1.html Intel® Atom™ Processor Z8000 Series Datasheet, Vol. 1, you will see the system memory technology and the sizes supported based on the type of memory, see page 115.

Regards,

Amy.
