Limitation of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM with i7 and i5 processors?

a comparison between the two processors i7-4771 and i5-4670

But in Memory Types Show it: DDR3-1333/1600.

That means that if I install DD1600iR3 2400 RAM, it would work a maximum of 1600MHz?

And if this is the case, what is required for DDR3 2400MHz RAM, 2400MHz really work?

In this case as it is a normal (not "unlocked") processor, the memory will be limited to 1600 mhz.

Using an unlocked processor, the memory should recognize and set (or try to set as this would be kind of overclocking) the memory at 2400 mhz
