My notebook has collected 2 GB of log files in Extreme Tuning Utility directory.

Is it possible to delete those files without getting any trouble?

Thanks for your helping response.

Hello Jokemel,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

You should not have any issues deleting the files if you are not pretending to use Intel XTU in your system, however, I will confirm this information and get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you Steve for your first opinion. Generaly I don`t mind log files. But it seems XTU creates such a file every new PC-boot.

Two GB exceed my tolerance

Hello Jokemel,

Removing all the Intel® XTU files and information will not harm or do any impact on the system since this will only affect Intel® XTU. Unless you require information for history or an issue, there should not be any problem.

Default location for XTU logs are located on C:\ProgramData\Intel\Intel Extreme Tuning Utility\Logs

Please let me know if you have any concerns.

Thank you Steve, great- all ok.

I`ll delete the logs. My notebook is from 2016. Untill today I didn`t use XTU. Think this will not change in future.

For a certain time I will save the files extern. So in case any problems occures I will be able to write them back.

Thank you for your great help.

Best regards

Jokemel
