Microcode?

Hello All,

I was wondering if someone out there could point me in the right direction for writing microcode? Does an SDK/emulator and/or sample/dev kit exist for this? Where can I obtain the technical information for writing microcode? Ideally I'd like to try to create new instructions and load them in to the Core i7 desktop that I have. BTW- Please don't point me towards assembly (yes, I know it exists, but I'd like to get even closer to the metal). Thanks in advance.

To get the information you require would probably mean having to work for Intel in their microcode division under very strict NDA.
