Multi-Chip-Module CPUs for Oracle Licensing

Hi There,

Does anyone know if the following processors are multi-chip or single-chip architectures?

  • Xeon E5504
  • Xeon E5335

We have a fairly low volume Oracle Standard One licensed database and like many other's I've been draw into the whole Multi-Chip-Module confusion.

I found lots of information confirming that the E5 v2 series are multi-core, single chip processors, but couldn't identify anything on the v1 series or those two chips specifically.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks for joining the Processor community.

I just checked with engineering team and Xeon E5504 and E5335 are Single Chip Modules.

Allan.
