Hello Theda,
I understand that your processor is not working stable. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Regarding this, I would like you to first download and install our Intel ® Processor Diagnostic Tool so we can check and see if there is a problem with the processor:

Please download it and run the diagnostics. Then, please attach the results to this thread.

Hello Theda,
Thank you for your response,
I will be reviewing the information of the test. In the meantime I would like to know, what is the power plan you are currently using?
The power plan could affect the way the processor behaves so if you want it to be stable and work at the best performance moving to the "High Performance" is the best option, I will attach a screenshot of how it looks.

Hello Theda,
Thank you for your response,
Please download our Intel ® Extreme Tuning Utility and run a stress test for 5 minutes while checking the usage graph on the task manager to see what can be wrong. If possible please take screenshots of the graph during the test:

Hello Theda,
Thank you for your response,
According to the information showing on the screenshot while the stress test was running it actually shows to be stable when loaded. It seems to be more software-related than hardware. Can you please check with different heavy applications and show me the results?
This is because if while running a test with the Intel ® XTU it shows fine and passes that means that the processor is performing well. As an extra information, if you still feel unsatisfied with the performance you could always contact Asus so they can attempt to replace the bad part that is affecting you.
Regards,
David V
