Hello

If I turned off all power saving options, underclocking etc; can anyone tell me what would the base speed be? TY

Yes, provided there is either a BIOS option or software available that allows you to set the CPU at a locked speed.

Hi pressed_for_time

TY for your reply. I have looked at multiple websites and have seen everything from 100MHz to 2GHz, given as base speed. So frustrating that Intel assume there is no reason anyone could need this info

Thanks again

It is a 100MHz bus with a 1x to 34x multiplier. As it's an OEM part the minimum speed could be altered via the motherboard BIOS to whatever is needed for a particular application.

I see, ty. I suppose that means the max base speed I could set it as, would be 3.4GHz?  And could I make it run at that speed permanently if I wanted?

Many thanks for helping out a computer dummy, who can just about turn one on!

All the best to you
