Hi, i have recently done a fresh install of my Windows 7 and after installing all the relevant updates from Windows Update i am now looking to update my Intel drivers but i am running into some difficulties.
I do not particularly trust myself to seek out the intel driver myself manually so i decided to use the intel update utility but whenever the scan finishes i receive the following message: No drivers were detected for your product.
My Windows is an OEM, so to be more more precise it's not exactly a fresh install, i've used the recovery backup wizard and rolled it back to the state it was when i bought it, everything came preinstalled so i have never installed an intel driver manually myself and i have no idea where to look on the intel download page, i've tried looking but i've found it confusing and thought it would be best to avoid just in case i make a mistake. Before i rolled my OS back whenever i used the utility it worked and detected my Intel drivers, but not now.
To scan i used Intel driver update utility version 2.6.0.32
My computer is Advent DT1412.
Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) (Copied from system info)
Can anyone help? Is there a way to overcome the error message with the auto update utility? If not can someone point me in the right direction to install the drivers my computer requires manually?
All help would be much appreciated, i have attached the log file.
Thank you.

Intel can help providing the following drivers:
INF Update Utility

Intel(R) Graphics Driver
Windows® 7 64 bit

Please bear in mind the drivers linked above are generic, and Intel recommends installing drivers directly from Advent for customized versions, see the link below for more information about Advent drivers: http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/product-support http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/product-support

I checked the Advent site for updated drivers but they do not seemingly support my model, they support 'DT1411 or DT1413', that is the option they have available here : http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/product-download-select?field_model_range_tid=36&field_model_type_tid=31 Browse by model | Advent Computers.
Regarding the drivers you have linked, what is a 'INF Update Utility'? Does that find the drivers i require for my computer?
As for the graphics driver, my graphics driver is AMD, i have already installed the latest version from the AMD website, do i still need the intel one you provided me?
Before reinstalling my OS the intel update utility found the chipset driver i required without a problem, how do i go about finding it now?
Thank you for the reply, very much appreciated.

The INF is an utility that helps identify all computer components through device manager. You could try installing the version I have linked to see if it helps on this problem, that will be manual installation.
If you are using AMD graphics, there is no need to install Intel® graphics drivers.
I would recommend checking for driver availability through Advent forums at:

I have checked Advent, it was the first site i checked, but their download page, which can be found http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/product-download-select?field_model_range_tid=36&field_model_type_tid=31 here, does not support my model. I have also pretty much gone through their entire forum to find out more details.. I have also emailed them but have received nothing back so far.
As for the INF, i have used it and it has scanned my devices and it has named my chipset and all the various details of my processor but i do not know where to go from here, it doesn't provide me with any download links.
Thank you for the reply.

Sorry, in my above post i say that i installed the INF already, that was actually incorrect. I actually installed System Support Utility which scanned my computer and then listed the various components on my computer. Nevertheless, i have since installed the INF update utility (setupchipset.exe, version 10.1.1.14) and it installed the files and restarted my computer. I then went to use the driver update utility but still nothing, i receive the same message. I also tried to update via device manager but again nothing.

At this stage, for all other component drivers, you are require to contact your computer manufacturer since Intel provides just INF and graphics drivers linked previously.

From knowing my processor (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)) or me finding out the driver version i currently have, is it not possible to tell what drivers i need to update? I've tried looking myself but i'm unsure on what to look for and where to look. I've emailed Advent but have heard nothing for over a week. I've also downloaded a driver updater which has detected and listed many intel drivers that require updating but i've resisted using that as i've heard plenty of horror stories regarding updating via driver update software.
Before restoring my OS the Intel Update Utility detected my drivers, why would it not be working now? Is there a link to an older version of the update utility as they seemed to work for me.
Also, just to note, the INF does seem to have fixed some issues i had with device manager after reinstalling Windows 7, before installing there were some devices that had exclamation marks by them for whatever reason but the INF seems to have corrected all that. Thanks.

The only driver available for your processor would be the graphics driver. This is included on the processor itself.
See the link below for graphics drivers download:

Before i recovered my OS to it's original state the update utility would work, it had no issues detecting my processor and notifying me of chipset updates, there should be a newer driver than the one i have currently somewhere as it detected updates previously.
Is there a link where i can download an older version of the auto update utility? Perhaps it's an issue with the latest version.

I regret to inform you that Intel does not keep track of earlier driver revisions.
