Not updated driver = slow cpu?

Ive recently bought a new laptop, for some reason however the cpu usage gets VERY HIGH upon start up. When I have not even started a program yet. I have also not installed many programs as the laptop is new. I was wondering if the reason was that my graphics driver for my Intel HD graphics 4000 gfx card is not updated (or any driver for that matter) was the reason? (The latest is 3071, mine is 2867)

Zaney,

You may try installing the graphic driver from this site, https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22610&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%20*&DownloadType=Drivers Download Center.

For any additional information I recommended you to post your issue on the Graphics communities/community/tech/graphics http://communities.intel.com/community/tech/graphics

Regards.
