Pentium 4 Processor

I have 2 questions.

1. i purchased a pentium 4 3.00 ghz presscott 775 processor in 2000 before intel switch it to the pentium 4 530 processor. Is there a difference between these 2 processors?

2. Is their a motherboard that will support my pentium 4 prescott all the way up to the core 2 duo quad core's?
