Hi, I have been experiencing issues with my system running a 14700k. The problem is that I have not been able to reproduce using synthetic benchmarks.
When my system is under certain loads the system will just lock up with the mouse and keyboard not responding but game music may continue to play and require a hard Restart.
The steps so far to attempt to resolve these issues have been:
1. A fresh windows install,
2. The Power supply replacement due to thinking power may have caused the issues.
3. Memory testing which memory is passing.
4. Bios and Microcode updates.
As stated above running synthetic load testing using both the intel processor diagnostics tool and OCCT I have not been able to replicate the behaviour. When the system locks up there are no events in the event viewer or no dump files that are detected by who crashed. The problem can be random but is most common when I am running 7 Eve online clients at the same time. I am starting to feel that my process has been one of the processors hit with the accelerated degradation.
I am interested to see if anyone can provide any other ideas that may help but if others think the degradation what are my next steps? The system was purchased and built in Feb this year. issues only developed in the last month.

Hello vic_Carter,
Thank you for sharing the detailed account of your issue and the steps you've already taken to troubleshoot it. I understand how frustrating it can be to experience such random and elusive system lockups.
To better understand the issue and explore potential solutions, I'd like to ask a few follow-up questions:
- Were there any specific recent changes that were made when the issue began?
- What is your power plan?
- Did you overclock the processor?
- Is your BIOS configured to Intel Recommended Settings?
Please generate an SSU report to help me further analyze important details on your system. To generate the SSU report, please refer to the article: How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*. Please send us the generated SSU.txt file.
I look forward to your response!
Best Regards,

Hi Robbie,
Thanks for your reply. No changes were made to the system before the problem started. The system has been running on a balanced power plan. The processor was not overclocked and was running at Intel settings via the BIOS.
Since my first post, I have followed the recommendations in a Reddit post that lowered the voltage this has seemed to increase stability but not fully stop the freezing.

Hello vic_Carter
Thank you for your response. I recommend trying the following troubleshooting step to address the issue you've been experiencing:
- Disable Turbo: If your motherboard BIOS allows it, please disable the Turbo feature.
- Run Your System: After disabling Turbo, run your system to see if the issues continue.
Let me know if the issue persists.
Best Regards,
