Hi there,
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad (L450) that I purchased about a year ago.
Recently I noticed that the system would sometimes 'lag or freeze' and would automatically restart itself after making a beeping noise.
It only happened twice in the last 2 months or so but it's really annoying when it happens.
After holding the power off button for a few seconds, it does shut off. After I turn it back on, it goes back to normal.
I feel like this is processor related – I have an Intel Core i5 processor. Can someone please help me to diagnose the problem? Is there anything that I can do?
Thanks
Ingrid

Hi Isuning,
You can try the following; let me know the outcome.
Check in the task manager and look for an application in process that could be using a lot for resources in your computer, and also scan your PC with your antivirus.
Try these steps with the System file Checker tool

Hi Hellen,
Thanks for your response! I have checked the antivirus and everything is ok.
I ran the tool from the system checker tool and it said it didn't find any integrity violations. It happened again recently and it seems to only happen when I'm processing large amount of information.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Ingrid

Hi Isuning,
Have you recently made any hardware modification?
To get more information let's try this:
- Get into the BIOS and set "Load Defaults", save and exit.
- Run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool, Please attach the results.
