Hello Silvonei,

When comparing the Intel i5-1135G7 and AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processors, it's important to consider more than just their base frequencies. The Intel i5-1135G7 has a base frequency of 2.4 GHz and can boost up to 4.2 GHz, while the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U has a base frequency of 2.1 GHz and can boost up to 4.0 GHz. Despite the Intel processor having a higher base frequency, it has 4 cores and 8 threads compared to the AMD's 6 cores and 12 threads. This means the AMD processor generally performs better in multi-core tasks, making it a strong choice for multitasking and applications that utilize multiple cores. On the other hand, the Intel i5-1135G7 excels in single-core performance, which can be beneficial for tasks that rely on single-threaded processing. Additionally, the Intel processor features Intel Iris Xe Graphics, offering good integrated graphics performance, while the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U comes with Radeon Vega Graphics, which also provides solid performance. Both processors are designed to be power-efficient, but the AMD's 7nm process may offer slightly better efficiency compared to Intel's 10nm process. Furthermore, the Intel i5-1135G7 supports features like Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 4.0, which can be advantageous for connectivity and future-proofing, whereas the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U supports PCIe 3.0 and lacks Thunderbolt support. Ultimately, the choice depends on your specific needs: if you prioritize single-core performance and advanced features, the Intel i5-1135G7 might be better, but if you need more cores for multitasking, the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U could be more suitable.
