Question about uniqueness of x86/x64 processor id

I develop software for the Windows platform and would like to know if there is a unique number associated with each processor. Using Windows API calls I can query the OS using the parameters "Win32_Processor", "ProcessorId" receive back (an example) such as BFEBFBFF0001067A; however, I have seen the exact number on two different machines. So, apparently this is not unique amongst processors. Is there any such unique number or combination of retrievable numbers?
