Question on Compatibility of Chipset and Processor

Hi all,

I am using a laptop with a chipset (Nvidia MCP79MVL), with a processor Inter Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T3400 2.16GHz. I understand that this processor is socket type is 478-pin micro FC-PGA (Socket P?).

My question is: If i wish to change my processor, all i have to be sure is that the new processor that i need to change to is also using the same socket (Socket P), while i also have to make sure i update my bios so that the chipset can support the processor? Is there any other information that i need to take note of?

I am looking into upgrading to Intel Core 2 Duo T7400, socket type is micro FC-PGA
