Hi, I bought a i9 14900k in August and paired it with a MSI MEG z790 ACE motherboard. At the start I didnt have any issues then after a month ish I started to notice it would randomly close games for me like League after playing for a while with no warning as to why it would close. The fix I did was to lower in XTU the performance core ratio to 54x from the standard 57x and that stopped the game from randomly closing. It worked fine and I undervolted a bit using a guide on the MSI forum but im starting to notice it creeping back with the random stutters and lag.
I capped my fps in league to 200 and with it uncapped it hovers around 350 low 400 then drops significally in fights. Its very noticible in game when it is stable at 199 fps then it drops in fights to when I look at it 190 and the game kinda freezes for a very short time but its very noticible in fights because timings get wrong. In other games such as elden ring it gives microstutters running around and in boss fights.
Im running the latest bios for my motherboard with the intel microcode recommended. I tried today to go back to just base bios setting with the intel default and capped XMP to 6200 for my RAM. I used the intel PDT to get data and when it did its cpu load test p-core 5 spiked to 100 and p-core 2 and 3 got up to 95 and 91. 95 for p-core 2 and 91 for p-core 3.
It passed the PDT test. I have good cooling for the i9. Im using Corsair iCUE LINK H150i LCD
and I got a PSU that should have no problems giving the right amount of power.
Should I be concerned that my i9 has degraded or is it my motherboard that is the culprit? Because it feels like I shouldnt have these types of problems in game with the specs I have.
Best regards,
Endertaler
Ive added the SSU and the PDT results downbelow.

Although you mentioned having a good PSU, double-checking that it's delivering stable power, as power fluctuations can cause the issues you're describing. Even with good cooling, thermal throttling can occur, so monitor your CPU temperatures during gaming sessions to see if they spike significantly. Since you've adjusted your RAM settings, try running a memory test (e.g., MemTest86) to ensure there are no issues with your RAM. The black screen and monitor recognition problems might be related to Windows. Try updating Windows and checking for any system errors in the Event Viewer. Tools like Intel's Processor Diagnostic Tool (PDT) and MSI's own diagnostic tools can be helpful. Given the complexity of your issues, it might also be helpful to reach out to MSI support for more tailored assistance. They might have specific insights or updates that could resolve your problems. Finally, update your BIOS to the latest version, and if the issues persist, consider creating a new case to warranty your processor

I used hwinfo and took screenshots after the games for the highs and lows, im not sure the power fluctuates a lot or not, im not so high on whats normal and not normal when looking at it. I attached 4 screenshots of hwinfo those are records of the 3 games I played with hwinfo on. I reset the values between each game. The 213126 screenshot is for the league2 screenshot where i scrolled down the list. I have the latest bios for my motherboard.
