Reasons behind sudden slow down of my laptop

I have an hp laptop with intel i5 8th gen, 8 gb ram, amd radeon R7 M340, windows 10.

I usually use my laptop for playing games.

Few weeks back my laptop started slowing down, i tried to fix it by closing some background apps and deleting some applications i do not use. But nothing worked.

Now the situation is such that my pc freezes at every click for about 30 to 40 seconds at least.

What should i do ?

I would check to see if your cooling system/heatsink/fans are blocked with dust.

 

If that is not the problem, contact HP for support with their laptop.
