I am currently conducting an academic mechanical research project. To ensure the accuracy of my simulations and mold verification, I need the following document:

12th/13th/14th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor Family Mechanical Design Guide (MDG)

Could you provide a download link or instructions on accessing this technical document?

(I have found some relevant information, but it does not include any images related to dimensions.)

Thank you for your help, and sorry to bother you.

Hello HSU01,

Greetings from Intel Customer Support.

Thank you for posting your query on the Intel Community Forum and for providing details about your academic research requirement.

We understand that you are looking for the Mechanical Design Guide (MDG) for the 12th/13th/14th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor family to support your simulation and mold verification work.

At this time, I will review your request internally and check the availability of the relevant documentation or the appropriate channel through which it can be accessed. I will get back to you as soon as I have an update or further guidance to share.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Hello HSU01,

Thank you for your patience.

I would like to inform you that you may refer to the following resources for detailed information:

On the Intel ARK website, you can view detailed processor specifications and download the corresponding datasheet. The datasheet typically includes mechanical drawings and processor dimensions; however, it does not provide box or packaging dimensions.

Additionally, if you are referring to the processor package size, you can find this under the “Package Specifications” section on ARK, listed as “Package Size.”

We will be happy to assist you further once we receive the processor details.

Looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,

First of all, thank you for your assistance.

I am a university student currently studying mechanical engineering.

I have found your technical support manual,

which has indeed provided many clues,

but there is still some missing data.

I have repeatedly reviewed the links you provided, but I haven't found the information I need.

While searching online, I saw a website called

"Resource & Documentation Center,"

which has a section called "Product Roadmaps."

I think there's a high chance that it will contain what I need,

but I can't register for "Premier access."

I understand that providing more information,

could be difficult for you,

but I sincerely hope you can provide me with some professional and in-depth information on mechanical engineering.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hey, I get what you’re trying to find — these Intel Mechanical Design Guides are honestly not easy to get like normal PDFs, especially the newer Gen ones.

I faced something similar during a simulation project, where I could only find partial specs but no proper dimensional diagrams. What I learned is that Intel usually keeps full MDG (with images + mechanical drawings) under NDA in their Resource & Design Center.

What worked for me:

Create/login to Intel RDC and request access for “Processor Design Guides”

Sometimes universities or labs already have access, worth checking there first

If it’s urgent, contacting Intel support or your supervisor helps speed up NDA approval

I usually keep notes of such sourcing steps while working on my U-Shop related projects too.

By the way, are you doing this for thermal simulation or mold design validation?
