I have ASUS VivoBook S15 with Intel Core i5 8250U, It already have an SSD still I purchased an Samsung EVO 970 Plus 256 GB which is Gen 3.0 X 4

I checked for my Processor on Intel's site it was showing PCI configuration in below way

PCI Express revision : 3.0

PCI Express Configurations : 1x4, 2x2, 1x2+2x1 and 4x1

Max # of PCI Express Lanes : 12

What does it means? Can I get full benefit of 970 EVO plus on my PC or not?

My Laptop already have an "Intel Dual Band Network Adapter", 1 HDD.

Please guide me before I receive parcel.

The EVO 970 is an NVMe module that plugs into a M.2 Type M socket on your laptop's motherboard. If your laptop has only a single M.2 Type M socket, this module would need to replace the one you have in your system already. Alternatively, there are adapters that allow NVMe modules to be plugged into USB 3.x ports and used from there.

Ok, but I just wanted to know. Physical M.2 port present in my Laptop is support 3.0 X 4.

Means it have actual 4 physical lanes? So that I can get full performance of evo 970 plus.

Definitely I'll replace my older SSD for that.

Correct; 4 PCIe lanes are dedicated to data transfers to and from each M.2 SSD.

The 250GB 970 EVO is rated as theoretically offering peak read/write speeds of 3500/1500 MB/s and effectively* delivering peak read/write speeds of 2400/1450 MB/s.

Larger capacity 970 EVO drives offer larger caches and better performance. The 2TB 970 EVO is rated as theoretically offering peak read/write speeds of 3500/2500 MB/s and effectively delivering peak read/write speeds of 2500/2400 MB/s.
